Transfer Undergraduate
The students from other university or college wishes to get an admission in an undergraduate degree program from Miami university then he must get all the following criteria fulfilled as the rules of the Miami university. If a student is studding in one or more courses at another college after high school, you must apply for admission to Miami as a transfer student.
University of Miami welcome applications from new students for both the fall and spring semesters or for any of our four summer terms. However, transfer student get enrolled only after we retain. The transfer admission is limited and competitive. Students who have the strongest academic records are given priority. However, when space and facilities permit, transfer students who are below this average but who have at least a 2.0 average will be considered. In computing the grade point average of transfer applicants, non-academic courses such as orientation, study skills, or remedial pre-college-level work are not included
A quarter hour is two-thirds of a semester hour. If you are transferring from a school on the quarter system, multiply the number of credit hours earned at your school by .6667 to compute the semester hour equivalent of your course work.
Graduation Requirements For the bachelor's degree, basic graduation requirements include the following:
- A minimum of 128 semester hours.
- Degree programs will vary in total hours required.
- Of the total 128 semester hours, at least 32 must be from Miami University (any campus), including 12 of the final 20 hours required for the bachelor's degree
- At least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average
- Fulfillment of The Miami Plan for Liberal Education
- Fulfillment of divisional and major requirements
Undergraduate international students must submit the international student application for admission, not the transfer student application. International students are persons already in the U.S. on a nonimmigrant visa status, or those seeking to enter the U.S. as F-1 or J-1 students or in any other nonimmigrant status.
