Libraries
The university of Miami has an extensive collection of information, ranging from tablets from ancient Babylonian to the latest electronic journals and research databases. In addition, the Libraries provide access to many resources for current faculty, staff and students through the Libraries' web site.
The Libraries of miami university are more than a repository for information. The libraries provide one-on-one assistance and instruction that will help you to locate, analyze, and create information, whether you are seeking face-to-face assistance at a Help Desk or using our online reference service from halfway around the world.
Whether you are conducting research, creating a multimedia presentation, or just looking for a good book to read, the Libraries will benefit you during your time at Miami.
The collection Research Resources
- 200 research databases.
- 20,000 journals (15,000 electronic).
- 2.8 million books (134,000 electronic).
- access to more than 10 million books which can be requested electronically from Ohio colleges and universities through a state-wide catalog .
Electronic Reserve System The libraries pioneered the development of an electronic reserves system, which makes reserve readings available on the Internet. Students rely on this service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Digital Collections More than 80,000 historical documents, photographs and images of art work created by the Libraries. The Digital Collections provide access to specialized resources available only at Miami or to information about Miami's history.
Electronic Data Center Access to extensive collections of demographic and statistical data.
Geographical Information Center An online collection of satellite images, maps and geographical data.
Library Facilities
